Officially Our HIJO!

That means son in Spanish! We finally have the birth certificate for our little guy with OUR last name on it . . . it is beautiful! I can't stop staring at it! Our lawyer in Guatemala received it yesterday but it is dated 3/8/06. I think waiting for the pink slip is A MILLION times worse for me than waiting to get out of PGN because now we are so close. For my blogging friends who have been through this, PLEASE tell me how you survived until PINK! And if you don't mind, please pass on your standard response for "So when are you going to get him?" Oh, and if you could share your experiences with timing AFTER the shiny new birth certificate was done, I'd appreciate it! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE keep praying for us . . . we are getting closer and closer! Thank you for your support and kind thoughts . . . we appreciate it so much!

Congratulations!!! You are so close!!! I know it seems to be taking forever, but you are going to be on a plane before you know it. If you have not already packed...get to work. That is one way to pass the time. We had major water damage to our house and were undergoing renovations while we were waiting....I don't recommend that to pass the time! I also played computer games and worked like crazy while we were waiting. Any good movies to go see?

When people were constantly asking when we were getting him I would usually just say we were waiting on a call that could come any moment, any day!

You will survive this last wait and soon, very soon all the waiting will fade away! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

((((HUGS)))))

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, I'm so excited and happy for you!!! Uh, I was actually a bit calm after exiting PGN, then the birth certs came Monday/Tuesday of this week, and I started getting antsy, then we got pink for Cassandra last night!!! So get packing! I did NOT expect pink so soon...

I told people "we may travel anywhere from 2 weeks to a month" when we got out of PGN, then I told them "it looks now like last week March, first week April" but then WHAM!

We will soon be sharing cat-adjusting-to-baby stories!

We're so happy for you! Can't wait until we can take the little ones shopping together! We're praying hard that he will be here soon!
Love,
Amy, Tony and Alyssa :)

Glory hallelujah! Congrats, congrats, congrats! So happy for you and Frankster!

Pack, pack, pack. You could get the call at any time. Took me about 10 days to get PINK but it could be much less.

I wrote a letter to the foster mom and went shopping to buy her a gifts to pass the time. I spent time w/ friends who I hadn't seen in awhile as I knew my time would scarce once I picked up the babe.

I would just tell people "I'll find out any day" when they would ask "so when are you gonna get the baby?".

Yes, this will feel like the longest step in the process because you are so close. I spent many hours looking back at my life, how far it had come on my adoption journey, and tried to be appreciative of all that transpired to get me to that point. The end was a pretty spiritual experience for me. I had much to be thankful for.

I have so admired your patience. You are a wonderful soul. I am so glad our paths crossed.

So so happy for you!

Delurking to say congratulations. We just celebrated the third anniversary of picking up our son from Guatemala, and I remember well the feelings. Enjoy your trip to Guatemala - it's a beautiful country full of beautiful people.
